Thank you to our 2017 Statewide Sponsors:
A Message From Your President
The SIAHU Executive committee and our local board have been working through the summer to prepare for the upcoming year. In August, the board held their Strategic Planning meeting and have put a lot of time and effort into creating a calendar of events for the upcoming year. The 2017-2018 board is a mix of current state position holders as well as some who have been in the business for longer than they would like to admit. Your 2017-2018 Officers and Board Members are: President Guy Stubbs; Vice-President Colby Fiala; Secretary & HUPAC Chair Rhonda Bartholomew; Past-President & Legislative Chair Chelsea Lyda; Treasurer David Wilcox; Media Relations Alma Tyree; Awards Chair Sue Stokesberry; Communications & Professional Development Steve Moore; Website Administrator Brett Thomas and Membership & Retention Chair Ryan Heider. I would like to thank all those who participated in the election. The officers you have chosen are set to do great things for the Southern Idaho Association of Health Underwriters. Chapter information can also be found on the IAHU website www.siahu.org.
A full schedule has been put together for the coming year. This schedule can be found on the Southern Idaho Association of Health Underwriters website www.siahu.org. Also, please keep an eye out for emails letting you know of these events and how to get signed up. We are making a big commitment this year to providing you with as much C.E. worthy education as we possibly can, while providing you with up to date information on health care and government relations.
Up-coming events include a meeting with the Director of Insurance Dean Cameron, Thursday, September 21st, at 2:00 pm at the Magic Valley Arts Council Auditorium, located in the Elevation 486 building. In October, we will have a Special Live Session Webinar with Janet Trautwein, NAHU CEO, October 12, 2017 at 10:00 am in the Elevation’s Board Room. Ms Trautwein will update us on what is happening in Washington D.C. and what to look for in the upcoming months.
Because the end of year is so busy with Medicare and Individual open enrollment, we have made the decision to again not hold meetings in November and December. We will have a full schedule of meetings for the New Year posted soon on our website and sent to your email address.
With a strong leadership team, I look forward to leading the SIAHU membership this year as the 2017-2018 SIAHU President.
